- That all certificates are up-to-date – In Australia, dog boarding facilities are required to have the right kind of certification in order to look after your animal. These boarding facilities are inspected on a regular basis, and so you need to make sure that they have all the certifications required, to meet the government regulations. Only then, can you know that your animal will be safe and well there.
- That the boarding facilities are clean – Don’t leave your family pet anywhere without first going to check that the boarding facilities are clean. There shouldn’t be any animal waste, and it should be cleaned up quickly using sanitary methods. If you arrive at the boarding facility, and there is animal waste on the floor, then this might not be the place to board the family dog.
